Champagne Jacquinot & Fils
Pierre Jacquinot, originally a winegrower and peasant, developed the family vineyard just after the First World War, during which he was injured.

In 1929, he set up his own grape pressing business and began producing his own wines. His two sons, Jacques and Jean-Guy, joined the company and together created the Champagne brand Jacquinot et Fils. The House will be founded in 1947, and will settle in the cellars of Epernay in 1949, at the heart of which it still sits to this day.

François Nicolet and Jean-Manuel Jacquinot, Jean-Guy's son, oenologist and production manager since 1998; are now at the head of the estate, and both work to produce Champagne Jacquinot et Fils, which is of the highest quality.

We really enjoyed the tour and tasting. Our hostess, Justine, was an impeccable guide and knows the history of Maison Jacquinot and that of Champagne wines. The products tasted were excellent and well described.

Cannot recommend enough! It is off the beaten path- but a genuine experience and explanation of the Champagne making process from beginning to end. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and the Champagne is reasonably priced and excellent.
