Meet the team

Alexandre Ponnavoy is the cellar master of Maison Taittinger. A native of Burgundy, this grandson and son of a farmer studied agronomy and plant physiology in Dijon before immersing himself body and soul in the world of champagne. With an oenology diploma in hand, he began by traveling the world of sparkling wines in California and South Africa, before joining the Champagne Oenotechnical Station, where he shared his expert advice for over ten years. At the helm of the winery located on the outskirts of Reims, he has been the conductor of Taittinger wines since 2018.
