What to do in Rasteau?

Rasteau is a small village, located in the north of Provence , just northeast of Châteauneuf du Pape . At the foot of Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail. By visiting Rasteau, you will discover several centuries of history and the sweetness of life between lands of flavors and scents of vines, olive trees and fruit trees. You will discover the hill and its superb landscapes through the marked footpaths on the territory of Rasteau, you can also follow the GR4 which leads to its neighboring villages Roaix or Cairanne. Above all, do not leave Rasteau without stopping at the exit of the village at the cooperative cellar which offers the excellent Côtes du Rhône wine produced here. You can also visit the museum of vine work which brings together tools, instruments, photos and documents to explain to you this traditional passion for the vine and the know-how of good wine! The red wines are highly regarded and were generated by their high percentages of Mourvèdre in the blend. This gives this excellent southern Rhône appellation a particular character.
