Reputed to be the cultural capital of Provence and the favorite city of the French to settle because it is good to live in, its surroundings are just as charming. The wine estates present there further embellish the premises.
Provence was also among the very first French regions to cultivate the vine. Today, the vineyard extends between Les Baux de Provence and Fréjus: from the coast to the hinterland. The wines that make it up are mostly rosés (80%) and the most common grape varieties are Grenache Noir and Cinsault.
The Aix-en-Provence wine route extends to Marseille. The production vineyard of the AOC Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence covers 4,200 hectares. On the way, you will find many castles offering tastings throughout the year but also tours and other workshops.
