Banyuls-sur-Mer is a French commune, located in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in the Occitanie region. Recognized for its sun and its proximity to the sea, this city is ideal for a stay in the south but also for visits and tastings of wine rich in flavors. Winalist offers you a list of wine tourism activities to practice once on site with our partner hosts. Book now.

To ensure that your stay in the south goes wonderfully well, Winalist has everything planned. Apart from the wine experiences offered by our partner hosts, the town of Banyuls-sur-Mer is made up of unmissable activities! First, go on the coastal path to discover the town's remarkable coves and beaches. Then, visit the marine reserve of Cerbère-Banyuls to explore the richness of the Mediterranean in a preserved place. The Arago Laboratory aquarium is also worth seeing.

Stroll along the port to discover its artists and activities. Another original way to discover the city is to explore the Mediterranean flora in the Mediterranean garden of Mas de la Serra. For lovers of walking and sublime panoramas, do not miss the hikes of La Salette, the Col de Banyuls or the Maledoc tower.

Before returning home, it is imperative to taste Catalan gastronomy with local products: olive oil, vinegars, etc.

What type of tastings at the winegrowers of Banyuls-sur-Mer?

You will find on the spot the grand cru banyuls which is a natural sweet wine with a controlled designation of origin (AOC). It is not dedicated to Banyuls-sur-Mer but is produced in four towns in the South of France, in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in the Occitanie region: Banyuls-sur-Mer, Collioure, Port-Vendres and Cerbère.

This wine comes from old vines cultivated in terraces on the steep slopes of the Vermeille coast. We are talking about a mutated wine.

During your escapade, you will also discover the wine of Collioure but we are not going to reveal everything to you today. You still have a lot to discover once you get there. Book your online experience now on winalist.com

We wish you a pleasant stay in the south and with our winegrowers who are waiting for you impatiently.
