Visit Dalle Nostre Mani in Fucecchio
Tuscany
Winery
"Dalle Nostre Mani" it is an organic farm in the center of Tuscany. We produce natural wines from ancient Tuscan varieties and olive oil. My name is Giulio Wilson Rosetti and I am oenologist; thanks to the organic conversion of ancient vineyards, together with Lapo, I produce a range of natural wines coming from organic farming.
The vineyards have only Tuscan stocks, such as Pungitello, Foglia tonda, Abrostine, Abrusco, which extend to the protected natural site of Padule di Fucecchio.
This project began in 2005, when we decided to reorganize some vineyards near my house in Fucecchio.
Many of them belonged to local farmers and were in a dilapidated condition, abandoned for various reasons, sometimes due to the old age of the farmers who owned them. Over the years, the project evolved: today Lapo and I grow 11 hectares of refurbished vineyards, converted to organic farming and we work in partnership with 14 elderly farmers.
We use an ancient method called Girone Capovolto Toscano, and we tie the vine-stocks to the rows using willow branches or biodegradable material, without using plastic.
All farming operations, from pruning to grape harvesting, are carried out by hand with great enthusiasm, the same enthusiasm that marks how we produce these natural wines.
Thanks to the wise advice and experience of elderly farmers, I have created a place of strength and balance between what was the past and is now the future, a compromise which affords us the possibility of merging the secrets of the ancient Tuscan tradition with the current knowledge of viticulture and oenology today.
The wine we make is lively, sincere and natural, produced in a way which is friendly towards the environment and the people who drink it.
