Château Thénac

Château Thénac has a long and fabulous history. The first traces of its existence date back to 12th century when a Benedictine priory is built on the spot of the current château. It’s probable that the monks quickly realised that Thenac’s terroir was well suited to wine growing.
Since 2001, the estate has been bought by the Shvidler family and has a total of 200 hectares, including 35 hectares of vineyard, an orchard and a farm. It is a real ecosystem.
We produce on the property two different ranges of wines as well as two Eaux-de-vie produced from our 500 plum trees in IGP d'Ente.
