Tenuta Montauto has been owned by the Lepri family for over sixty years.
The first Sauvignon vines were planted in the 1980s, but the winery only began producing wine in 2001.
The Montauto terroir is characterized by clayey soil rich in minerals, such as quartz, caressed by the rejuvenating sea breezes of Capalbio, just 10 km away as the crow flies, creating ideal conditions for the production of great wines, particularly Sauvignon and Pinot Noir.
The inauguration of a new tasting room last year is giving us
the opportunity to treat our guests with greater exclusivity and welcome groups.
An elegant outdoor terrace has been set up, a favorite during the mild seasons,
for an experience completely in touch with nature.
