Donatella Cinelli Colombini was born in 1953 in a family of producers of Brunello di Montalcino, In 1993 she founded the “Movimento del turismo del vino” and invented “Cantine aperte”, the day that brought success to wine tourism in Italy. IN 2012 she received the International Vinitaly Prize. In 2014 she was nominated ‘Cavaliere della Repubbica Italiana”. From 2013 to 2022 she was President of the Consortium of Orcia wines. In 2016 she was elected National president of Donne Del Vino
