Bordeaux Winery
Château Hourtin-Ducasse, located in Saint-Sauveur, near the town of Pauillac, produces
a Haut-Médoc, Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée.
Two former owners, in the 18th and 19th centuries, Messrs Hourtin and Ducasse, gave it its name. It is operated since 1976 by Marengo family, Michel and Marie-Noëlle, accompanied by their 7 children.
The vineyard covers 18 ha of vines grown in conservation agriculture; this method uses certain techniques from biodynamics or organic farming. "In addition to our determination to preserve the richness of our land and our desire to respect the environment, we are convinced that this is the way to improve the quality of our wines. While revealing the purity of the fruit, this wine is defined by its elegance and balance. The last 32 vintages have received 134 awards.
