About the distillery

The Château de Cognac, overlooking the Charente River, was first a 10th-century fortress built to repel Norman invasions, then, in the 15th century, a lordly residence where one of France's most illustrious kings, Francis I, was born.

This building has become a historical monument and today houses the BARON OTARD and D'USSÉ Cognac houses.
