It is often said that man dreams and the work is born. Quinta de Lemos is the result of the dream of one man, Celso de Lemos, with a career as ascending as it is unusual. Hidden in the Dão valley, at an altitude of 340 m, Quinta de Lemos is a labor of love – and it shows.

Love for the land, love for the terroir, love for Portugal. In a total of 50 hectares, divided between 25 hectares of vineyards and 3000 olive trees, Quinta de Lemos was born in the late 1990s.

Hugo Chaves was born in Viseu in 1972 and studied oenology at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. He participated in the founding of Quinta de Lemos in 1997 with great dedication. Endowed with a warm personality and a creative mind, the winemaker prefers intense, full-bodied, and flavorful wines.
