The Di Meo family's La Sibilla welcomes you to Bacoli, in the Phlegraean Fields, a land of myth and legend where we have been cultivating ungrafted vines for five generations. Here, tradition is renewed, giving rise to highly expressive wines.
For five generations, the family has been committed to cultivating and protecting ancient ungrafted vines, some of which are over 65 years old. They are located among homes, in archaeological sites, and near the Baia Monumental Park. Here, we become not only custodians of family history, but also of a millennia-old memory dating back to the Roman emperors.
The La Sibilla winery was born from the winemaking and gastronomic traditions of the Phlegraean Fields, founded by Luigi and Restituta, who deeply believed in the winemaking vocation of this land. The first labeled bottles were produced in 1997, and as the vintages progressed, the wines acquired character and identity without being overbearing, thanks to the innovative drive of their sons Vincenzo, Salvatore, and Mattia, in a constant quest to defy time.
