Located in the Aspres, on the first foothills of the Pic du Canigou, the Château Montana Vineyard covers 45 hectares. The majority of the vines are located opposite the estate and form a mosaic of plots. Traditional Roussillon grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Mourvèdre and other grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are grown there, which are used in the composition of our IGP Côtes Catalanes.

Jean Jonquères d’Oriola comes from a family of winegrowers renowned in the department, but also in the rest of France and abroad; both for the sporting exploits that some of its members have known in horse riding and fencing (several gold medals at the Olympic Games and world championships), but also for their history in the world of wine dating back more than 5 centuries. He throws himself with passion and rigor into the development of the great wines of Château Montana.
