The 'I Colori del Negroamaro' tasting is a unique journey that allows you to discover and test the versatility of this native Salento grape variety. Cantina Coppola 1489 was the first winery to experiment with the white vinification of Negroamaro, a red-berried grape.

Following the success of the still white wine, production also began for a Metodo Classico sparkling wine obtained from the white vinification of Negroamaro, the first and, currently, the only one on the market.

By choosing this experience, you will be able to taste 5 different shades in a guided tour: the BRUT sparkling wine, the still white, the DOC rosé, and the DOC reds.

The visit begins in the company's Art Room, the route continues into the vinification area and the barrel cellar via an evocative raised walkway. Those who wish can take a self-guided walk through the vineyards.

Upon returning to the wine room, a guided tasting will take place.

About the host

Cantina Coppola 1489 is a historic winery located in Gallipoli, Puglia, where the Coppola family has passed down their passion for viticulture from generation to generation since 1489.

Immersed in a true green lung, among vineyards, olive groves, and a botanical garden with over one hundred tree species, the winery is located within the Tenuta Patitari Torre Sabea estate, just steps from the sea.

Today, the winery offers a new concept of hospitality, offering guests the opportunity to discover the cultivation and winemaking processes up close, immerse themselves in the family's centuries-old history, and taste the wines directly in the place where they are born. The spaces, once used as stables, a barn, and a farmhouse, have now been transformed into a welcoming and evocative environment, dedicated to wine tourism and the discovery of the local area.
