Designed especially for a first discovery of cognac or a family outing, the Hennessy Initiation tour offers an overview of the House's 260-year history and heritage, its ancestral savoir-faire, and a behind-the-scenes look at its iconic blends.
Highlights of this 1.5-hour initiation include a boat crossing of the Charente River, a tribute to the traditional gabares that once transported barrels to the ocean, a visit to an active aging cellar where you will learn about the "angels' share," an introduction to the daily ritual of the Hennessy Tasting Committee, and a guided tasting of two of the House's most famous cognacs, Hennessy V.S (served neat) and Hennessy V.S.O.P (served neat and as a cocktail).
Please note: during the low season (until April 30th and from November 4th), as well as on Saturday, June 13th, the crossing of the Charente will be by air-conditioned bus instead of by boat!
