This visit is a true welcome into the Pieri family, who have been managing Podere Stenti since 1950 with total respect for the land it is located in. A journey to discover the history of the winery, understand how a wine is born, and admire the enchanting setting of the Montecucco DOCG, with a tasting in the barrel cellar, right where our wine completes its maturation. About the host
Poggio Stenti is a family-run farm located in the rolling hills of Montenero d'Orcia, in the heart of the Val d'Orcia. With over 5 hectares of certified organic vineyards, it produces outstanding wines under the prestigious Montecucco Sangiovese DOCG and Maremma Toscana DOC appellations.
Led by the Pieri family, the estate blends tradition and innovation, focusing on sustainability and artisanal excellence. In addition to wines, Poggio Stenti produces Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a selection of traditional cured meats and fresh cuts, all made from locally grown and raised ingredients. These products are available for purchase at the Bottega in Sant'Angelo Scalo, Montalcino.
At the heart of Poggio Stenti, the vineyard stands as a symbol of identity, where each vine is cultivated with care and dedication to produce wines that reflect the essence of the land. From the grapes to the glass, every bottle tells a story of passion and craftsmanship, capturing the true spirit of Poggio Stenti.
Visitors can experience the character of these wines through guided tastings, offering an in-depth journey into the winery and a chance to savor the unique expressions of the estate. The Poggio Stenti selection includes Sangiovese Rosato – Maremma Toscana DOC (Organic), Vermentino – Maremma Toscana DOC (Organic), Montecucco Rosso DOC, Tribulo – Montecucco Sangiovese DOCG, and Pian di Staffa – Montecucco Sangiovese DOCG.
