About the host
Tenuta La Sabbiosa stands in front of the Sardinian sea, among the dunes of the island of Sant'Antioco. “An island of the island” which until the eighties was covered by Carignano vineyards. Sapling vineyards grown right up to the beaches, among the dunes and junipers, on sandy soils lashed by the mistral. Ungrafted vines because this is one of the few areas of Europe where the terrible plague of phylloxera has not taken root. A tradition, however, which has largely disappeared since the end of the 1980s, due to low production yields. Here and there, thanks to the passion and tenacity of the elderly, small centenary vineyards have survived. The production of Tenuta La Sabbiosa wines started from one of these.
