Highlights of this 2-hour introduction include: a brief crossing of the Charente by boat, a tribute to the old barges that transported the barrels to the ocean, a visit to the Chai des Pavillons, where the Hennessy saga comes to life, and the discovery of MOBILIS, an immersive virtual reality experience that showcases the heritage of Maison Hennessy in an original way. Imagined by French artists Kuntzel & Deygas, this unique creation, at the crossroads of poetry and high technology, was voted 'Best Innovation' at the 2024 Wine Tourism Awards and Best of Wine Tourism 2025.
You will also discover an authentic aging cellar in operation, where you will learn what "the angel's share" is. Finally, a presentation of the daily ritual of the Hennessy Tasting Committee is followed by a guided tasting of two of the House's iconic cognacs: Hennessy V.S.O.P (served neat and in a cocktail), and Hennessy X.O (served neat), accompanied by a macaron.
Please note: in low season (until April 30 and from November 4) as well as on Saturday, June 13, the crossing of the Charente will be by air-conditioned bus and not by boat!
