About the host

The Bersano winery was founded in 1907 in Nizza Monferrato, the heart of the Barbera d'Asti area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Bersano, now owned by the Massimelli family, directly manages 10 farmhouses and over 230 hectares of vineyards in the best "cru" of Monferrato and Langhe, in Piedmont.
We have always believed in the importance of the vineyard, considered the founding core of oenological quality, we work in close contact with the land and in respect of the winemaking tradition
Piedmontese. The unique characteristics of the terroir and microclimate are reflected in long-lived wines of high quality, elegance and great recognition.

Interesting history, and a knowledgeable tour of the cellar. The tasting of the different wines was well curated, and informative. A great opportunity to explore some different expressions of the Nebbiolo grape, plus a taste of Ruchē wine as well.
