Things to know on the Côte de Beaune
Unlike other viticultural territories in the Burgundy region, the Côte de Beaune produces mostly prestigious white wines. Red wines are less famous and softer. All these wines have complex aromas thanks to a soil composed mainly of limestone and marl. The varietals that enjoy it most are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This territory has many Grands Crus dominated by white wines such as Montrachet. Taste these wines with Winalist thanks to a selection of wineries offering tasting tours and wine tourism activities.
