About the winery

Winnica Jura is a family-run organic vineyard just 30 minutes from the centre of Kraków, in the heart of the Kraków-Częstochowa Jura. Our vines grow on the limestone terroir of the Jurassic hills, farmed fully organically without chemicals — confirmed by our organic farming certificate. The estate includes a modern winery with oak barrels, which you will visit on every tour. Tastings take place in a glass-walled tasting room with panoramic views of the vineyard and the surrounding landscape park — so the weather never spoils your plans. Each visit includes a walk among the vines with the winemaker or sommelier, a tour of the winery, and a tasting of five organic wines served with a cheese board and fresh bread. During the season (April–October) we host open tours every Sunday, and private groups are welcome year-round on any date, in Polish or English. On Sundays a dedicated shuttle bus runs from Kraków city centre. It is the perfect place both for a first encounter with Polish wine and for an intimate gathering over a glass among the vines.

Winnica Jura is the family project of Joanna and Marcin Miszczak, born of a love of wine and the belief that good food and drink begin with healthy, chemical-free farming. Marcin — winemaker and co-founder — has a remarkably colourful story: a University of Chicago graduate, he spent over 20 years in the United States, where he worked as a political scientist for the US government and ran his own company, and for more than a decade was an Argentine tango dancer and teacher.
