In the heart of the Douro wine region, in Santa Marta de Penaguião, Quinta d'Azinheira is a soulful haven in one of the world's oldest wine regions, classified as a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Its roots date back to the 18th century, but it was Acácio Morais Mesquita, a man deeply connected to the Douro and the art of hospitality, who brought it back to life, starting wine production in the 1990s with absolute respect for the terroir.
Today, the family continues this legacy, balancing tradition and authenticity with a welcoming and contemporary spirit.
Here, wine is the center of everything: in guided tastings, discover wines produced on the Quinta itself and stories born from the land and time. At the table, traditional lunches are prepared in iron pots, with local ingredients and the genuine flavor of Douro cuisine.
