Meet the team
João Afonso doesn't follow obvious paths. Before becoming the owner of Cabeças do Reguengo, he was a dancer with the Gulbenkian Company — one of the most prestigious dance companies in the Iberian Peninsula — where he developed a refined sensitivity to rhythm, form, and expression. Qualities that would later prove fundamental in the way he conceives and interprets his wines.
The transition from dance to wine may seem surprising at first glance...until you taste his wines.
