Quinta de Cypriano - Wine & Nature

Quinta de Cypriano - Wine & Nature is a captivating project of the Andresen Guimarães Family, which began with a discovery. In the Quinta's collection of old documents, letters from Cypriano Joseph da Rocha, written from Brazil in the 18th century to his wife, were found. One of them contained the following recommendation, now the motto of this Quinta: "Take good care of our vineyards…". After this discovery, to honor the legacy of their ancestor, his descendants conceived this wine tourism project and began making wines vinified at the Quinta, following his instructions, with traditional methods, with grapes foot-trodden by the whole family, in granite lagares.

Quinta de Cypriano is located in Ponte da Barca, has approximately 6.5 hectares of vineyards and a manor house dating back to the 17th century. The Quinta combines history, tradition and nature, with a privileged view of the Lima River and Serra Amarela. Located a few kilometers from the Peneda-Gerês National Park, it is currently the closest wine tourism destination to the Park. At Quinta de Cypriano, hospitality has a special meaning because it stems from a family welcome, given directly by the hosts from the family itself. From the very first moment, those who arrive are greeted not by impersonal service, but by people who know the house and the land like no one else and who share the history and essence of the place with pride and closeness, making each visit different and memorable.
