Originally, Robert and Marcel were two winegrowers from Saumur. Two men of character, deeply attached to their land, who, along with others, chose to join forces in 1957 to build a common project.
At a time when Saumur viticulture was facing difficulties, these winegrowers chose to unite to invest together, raise the quality of their wines, and secure the future of their profession. In these cellars carved into the golden Loire stone, a collective adventure began, guided by high standards and solidarity.
Robert and Marcel symbolize those generations of women and men who, for over sixty years, have worked together to faithfully reveal the expression of the Saumur terroir.
