PistaWines was born from a simple idea: to create elegant wines true to the terroir from a unique place in the Alto Alentejo region. The vineyard was planted in Alter do Chão (Portalegre, ~400 m altitude) and the first harvest arrived shortly after — a sign of the site's vitality. Work is done on a small scale and with precision, plot by plot, with manual harvesting, giving shape to the Tapada da Fonte range, defined by freshness, balance, and fine texture.
Sustainability guides the work throughout the year: permanent vegetation cover, sheep grazing between the rows, and minimal intervention to let the place speak for itself. Along the way, recognition from international critics has highlighted the purity and consistency of the wines — bottles designed for the table and for time.
