The wines, Chão do Rio, are enhanced by good local soil and climate conditions, in an idyllic terroir for the production of distinct white and sparkling wines. The wines designed here reveal a notable acidity, surrounded by striking floral notes with a persistence of citrus fruit, which together give a harmonious elegance to the wine.
The winemaking process is carried out in the farm's wine cellar, equipped with the necessary technology to seek to respect and preserve the most appropriate methods in the production of green and sparkling wines, for which they have gained so much fame.
The sparkling wines, Chão do Rio, come from the property's grape varieties with different levels of maturation, allow us to obtain wines of high fineness, structure, and high persistence in the mouth, with long-lasting aromas, which allows them to be enjoyed at different times.
Quinta da Chouza and Chão do Rio wines now have a new space, in their tourist offer, an enoteca and tasting room. It was conceived and designed with the purpose of meeting an increasingly versatile and eclectic public, interested in seeking to know, in a more accurate way, the wines produced in the space and in the region, but also, with the aim of valuing the Sparkling wine and Vinho Verde products, from the Basto Sub-Region.
