Tapada De Coelheiros

Tapada de Coelheiros is a family property that has been producing quality wines in the Alentejo since 1991. Located in Igrejinha, in the municipality of Arraiolos, it shares the philosophy of art of the famous handmade rugs: embroidery in the smallest known stitch, resulting in the possibility of a detailed and rigorous design. (Arraiolos Rug — Teresa Pacheco Pereira) This is how Coelheiros wines are born, from parcel to parcel and from batch to batch, a composition that is woven in deep connection with the land and nature.
Tapada de Coelheiros draws the classic picture of the Alentejo landscape, preserving the traditional cultures of the region and the balance of the ecosystem. Inserted in the demarcated region of Alentejo, the estate extends over approximately 800ha, including 50ha of vineyards in selected plots, 40ha of walnut orchards and a vast area of cork oak forest where sheep, deer and fallow deer freely graze. The richness of its biodiversity also includes olive groves, a dam and other animals such as ducks, hares and rabbits.

There are several experiences available, always with the aim of sharing all the diversity, including a visit to the Tapada, by jeep or on foot, followed by a wine tasting with the possibility of tasting nuts and even pairing with regional products or even a traditional lunch.
