The first farm has been in the family since 1670. Today there are 4 farms, with 80 hectares in all: Firvida and Além Tanha, Avidagos, Torrão and Varanda. The tradition has always been to sell the grapes to Casas do Vinho do Porto, but from 1996 onwards the first trials for their own production began at Quinta dos Avidagos.
