About this experience & host

The Château l’Hospitalet, located on what was once an island between Narbonne and the Mediterranean Sea, is a vineyard between land and sea.
At the heart of 1000 hectares of garrigue, exists an exceptional terroir on the appellation La Clape Coteaux du Languedoc.
Optimal natural conditions unite, ideal for the creation of great wines.
In 2002, Gérard Bertrand realised his dream and acquired this property which is a gem of viticulture in the South of France.

Native to the region, his ambition remains to share his passion for wines of terroirs from this unique site of the mountain range La Clape by becoming the point of reference for the Mediterranean Art of Living.
According to Gérard Bertrand, “Wine should not have the taste of something: it must have the taste of somewhere”. Discover the rich nature of our terroirs!

The program for the visit is as follows :
Welcome and presentation of the Chateau l’Hospitalet
Exploration of the fauna and flora, trail through the vineyards
Initiation to tasting
Gérard Bertrand, an approach to biodynamics
Visit of the cellar door
