The Reserva Visit is the ideal introduction to the fascinating world of bubbles and Rovellats, a 100% family-run winery in the heart of the Penedès.

The visit will begin in the Art Nouveau garden, where we will visit two historic buildings (a 15th-century farmhouse and a family chapel).
We will continue with the production process of our wines and sparkling wines, where we will visit our radial cellar located 12 meters underground (it is a unique radial cellar in the world due to its original six-pointed star structure and central rotunda).
Upon arrival, we will begin the tasting of three Reserva cavas paired with a Km0 aperitif (includes two artisan cheeses and two types of cured meats).

About the host

Rovellats is a love story for the land, the people and cava. A family project that is currently managed by the third generation of the family and that since Sant Martí Sarroca (Barcelona) has been evolving from a work philosophy based on quality. Under the 15th century Masía and located 12 meters deep, the Rovellats cellar is unique in the world for its original six-pointed star structure and a central rotunda.

The etymological origin of Rovellats comes from the Latin “robiculu”, reflecting its location in a meander of the Foix River, characterized by its high humidity. This enclave has been the heart of an estate since medieval times, an architectural complex that includes everything from 10th century Romanesque elements to modern innovations.

The wine yard has a great charm. We enjoyed looking around and trying out the wines. Alex was a nice guide, he showed us around patiently and explained the history of the place and the wine making process quite well.
