This gastronomic experience takes place in our tasting room, next to our green terrace with a breathtaking view over the Minho River Valley. You will enjoy a light lunch of local products from small artisanal producers, offering an authentic taste of our Territory.

Quinta de Folga, our smokehouse next to our winery, bets on Bísaro pork. Our region has a long history of using this breed for traditional smoked meats and other dishes. Here, we raise pigs ecologically, being especially conscious of our environment. This gastronomic experience features a variety of products from Quinta de Folga, produced with time-honored methods.

Prados de Melgaço is a small cheese producer that focuses on the process from beginning to end.

The local flavors of our Territory are perfectly complemented by our wines.

About the host

Quinta de Soalheiro is a four-generation family business. Quinta de Soalheiro, a pioneer in the creation of Alvarinho wine in Melgaço, is an internationalbenchmark for the wines of this grape variety, blending perfectly into the distinctive Minho land-scape surrounding it. Located in Melgaço (Portugal’s northernmost point) it is protected by a range of mountains that create the conditions necessary for the best ripening of the Alvarinho grapes.

Quinta de Soalheiro is involved in all stages of production of its wines, from the planting of the vine to the grape selection and design of the wines. The family’s commitment to the future of the Alvarinho wine can be seen in their dedication to achieve the highest standards in the production of this grape variety, its sustained investment and the determination to preserve the unique environment of the region by promoting sustainable viticulture.
