Our Montserrat, Food and Wine with Cogwheel Train tour departs from central Barcelona and takes you to the foot of Montserrat. From there, your professional English-speaking local guide will take you on a very scenic ride in the rack railway up to the monastery, to then tour you for an hour around the premises. You will learn everything you need to know about the super rich history of this monastery, followed by another hour of free time for you to invest how you consider best. There’s so much to do up there!

Cogwheel train ride

Our group will embark in a Cgwheel train departing from the bottom of Montserrat mountain. The rack railway goes through the peculiar silhouette of the mountain and allows you to enjoy privileged views of the mountain. Through the panoramic views of the train, you can see the great beauty of the landscape that surrounds us from Monistrol to Montserrat.
