About this experience & host

Quinta de Sanjoanne is located in Mancelos, Amarante in the Vinhos Verdes Region. Our 14 hectares of vineyards divided into 16 plots. Next to the plots we have small forests, water dams, old tanks and fountains. Nearby you may also visit Mancelos Monastery dating from the 12th century, which is one of the most recognized buildings of Romanesque architecture in the region.
Our cellar was designed in an old bulding nowadays containing all modern technology available for the winemaking and aging of our wines. Next to the cellar lies a typical 18th century farmhouse, built in granite, with balconies overlooking the garden and vineyards.
Granite, which is all around in the building is also present in the soils, giving Quinta de Sanjoanne wines a striking minerality and acidity.
