Champagne Telmont
The House claims a line of conduct: the wine is good if the Earth is beautiful. Thus, after having obtained its first AB (organic farming) certification in 2017 on part of its plots, and following the acquisition of a majority stake by the Rémy Cointreau group, Telmont is launching, in 2021, an unprecedented project in Champagne : "In the Name of the Earth". The goal: to produce a very high quality champagne, with great respect for the environment. The actions carried out relate to the conversion to organic viticulture of 100% of its estate and the plots of its winegrowing partners, the preservation of biodiversity and the drastic reduction of its carbon footprint. Initiatives have already been taken, and will be amplified: elimination of gift boxes and other unnecessary packaging, reduction in the weight of bottles, abandonment of transparent bottles not containing non-recycled glass and bottles in special formats, abandonment of air freight for the transport of bottles or the use of renewable energies. The House aims to be Climate Positive by 2030 and Net Positive by 2050.
The wines of the House are defined by a unique style, airy and structured, between tension and freshness, and by a subtle and balanced acidity, which ensures an impressive length in the mouth. A Telmont champagne is neither too opulent nor too vinous but structured, accessible and refined. It has a unique presence, characterized by its paradox: a structured body and remarkable lightness.

Reviews of Champagne Telmont
The day was very well organized, we had a great time! I will repeat the experience next year with great pleasure!
Our little getaway in the Grand Est took us to the house of Champagne J. de Telmont in Damery. We were made to feel very welcome with lots of smiles. We left in the vineyards under the leadership of Bertrand and Philippe. Drenched in their words and explanations, champagne no longer holds any secrets for us. Back at the property we were invited to taste an unforgettable Champagne hotpot accompanied by the House's excellent nectars. We don’t hesitate
We were pleased to be received by Lucile that explained to us the elaboration process of champagne. We learned a lot of things and the wines are really exceptional. If it’s your first time in Champagne, its a must-do to become a master!
Our first time in Champagne. And finally, I think that the tasting workshop offered by the J. de Telmont house is a compulsory step before going to discover the region. We were able to discover all the stages of making a Champagne but also to learn to distinguish the different types of Champagne. The price is largely justified compared to the quality of the past moment! We recommend it!
